Data Projectors

Which projector?
Through our vast audio visual experience, our consultants advise the appropriate data projector for your circumstance. We understand that both competing technologies (LCD and DLP) have advantages in different instances, just as the brightness and lens throw does.
Lens throw:
One of the main considerations is whether to purchase a normal throw data projector, typically ceiling mounted, or the, typically wall mounted, short throw or ultra short throw data projectors. Often the question comes down to finances, however there are many other considerations - feel free to ask our consultants.
Brightness:
Don't be caught in the trap of assuming greater brightness is always preferable, especially with interactive whiteboards. BECTA (UK authority for education) has issued warnings on data projectors used with interactive whiteboards and we believe other educational bodies will follow. The associated direct projector glare with brighter projectors is at the very least annoying to the user. Short throw and ultra short throw projectors help avoid the issue, however an understanding into projector brightness (amount of lumens) is vital when deciding which data projector to choose.
Technology - LCD Vs DLP:
Which is better? This depends upon the circumstance and both offer advantages. LCD tends to be associated with crisper images and DLP offers advantages with less maintenence and projector life. Please ask us for further information.
